تُتابع تونس بانشغال عميق وقلق شديد التصعيد العسكري الخطير الذي تشهده المنطقة وما قد ينجرّ عنه من مخاطر اتّساع رقعة الصراع والانزلاق إلى الفوضى فضلا عمّا يُشكّله ذلك من تهديد جدّي للأمن والسّلم الإقليمي والدولي.
وفي هذا الظرف بالغ الخطورة، فإنّ تونس تجدّد تمسّكها باحترام مبدأ سيادة الدول وتدين كلّ اعتداء على أراضي أيّ دولة أو انتهاك حرمتها الترابية، وتؤكد في هذا السياق رفضها المطلق لأيّ استهداف لأراضي دول عربية شقيقة وتعرب عن تضامنها الكامل مع كلّ من المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة الكويت ودولة قطر ومملكة البحرين ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية ودولة العراق.
كما تدعو تونس من منطلق تمسّكها بالأخوّة العربية والإسلامية وتعلّقها الشديد بقواعد القانون الدولي ومبدأ حلّ الخلافات بالطرق السلمية، كافة الأطراف إلى الوقف الفوري للعمليات العسكرية وتغليب الحكمة والعودة إلى طاولة المفاوضات وتجنّب المزيد من التصعيد حقنا لدماء الأبرياء والحفاظ على مقدّرات شعوب المنطقة، وتُشدّد في هذا الإطار على ضرورة تحمّل مجلس الأمن لمسؤولياته واتّخاذ ما يلزم من تدابير للحفاظ على السلم والأمن الدوليين.
La Tunisie suit avec une profonde préoccupation et une vive inquiétude la dangereuse escalade militaire que connaît la région et les risques qu’elle pourrait entraîner, notamment l’élargissement du conflit et le glissement vers le chaos, ainsi que la menace sérieuse que cela représente pour la sécurité et la paix régionales et internationales.
Dans ce contexte d’une extrême gravité, la Tunisie réaffirme son attachement au respect du principe de la souveraineté des États et condamne toute agression contre le territoire de tout État ou toute atteinte à son intégrité territoriale. Elle exprime, dans ce cadre, son rejet absolu de toute atteinte au territoire de pays arabes frères et fait part de sa pleine solidarité avec le Royaume d’Arabie Saoudite, l’État du Koweït, l’État du Qatar, le Royaume de Bahreïn, les Émirats Arabes Unis, le Royaume Hachémite de Jordanie et la République d’Irak.
La Tunisie, fidèle à son attachement à la fraternité arabe et islamique ainsi qu’aux principes du droit international et au règlement pacifique des différends, appelle également toutes les parties à cesser immédiatement les opérations militaires, à faire preuve de sagesse et à revenir à la table des négociations, afin d’éviter toute nouvelle escalade, de préserver la vie des innocents et de protéger les ressources des peuples de la région. Elle souligne, à cet égard, la nécessité pour le Conseil de Sécurité d’assumer ses responsabilités et de prendre les mesures nécessaires pour préserver la paix et la sécurité internationales.
Tunisia is following with profound concern and deep anxiety the serious military escalation unfolding in the region and the risks it may entail of a widening of the conflict and a slide into chaos, as well as the grave threat this poses to regional and international peace and security.
In these extremely dangerous circumstances, Tunisia reiterates its commitment to respect for the principle of State sovereignty and condemns any attack on the territory of any State or any violation of its territorial integrity. In this context, it affirms its absolute rejection of any targeting of the territory of brotherly Arab States, and expresses its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Republic of Iraq.
Tunisia also calls, based on its attachment to Arab and Islamic fraternity and its strong commitment to the rules of international law and the principle of settling disputes by peaceful means, on all parties to immediately cease military operations, to show wisdom, to return to the negotiating table, and to avoid further escalation in order to spare the blood of innocents and preserve the resources of the peoples of the region. In this regard, it stresses the need for the Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to maintain international peace and security.
